About Me

Alberto Suarez
My name is Alberto Suarez
There are moments in life that test our love, our endurance and even our faith. I was born in a rural neighborhood on the outskirts of Miami, Florida. There, I experienced first hand life's struggles. My first test came as a child, after being abandoned by my mother; I was placed in the foster care system. In foster care, I dealt with physical and emotional abuse. This was the loneliest period of my life and the moment when music became my companion. At 12 years old, I ran away and was homeless for over 2 years. My brother and sister were also adopted and it was very difficult to stay in touch.

Fortunately, I was helped by various friends and their families to start building a life for myself. I found a job, finished school and was able to connect with people again. Emotionally, I had been vulnerable for a long time and needed to find a sense of empowerment through friendships and love.

These were the years when music became a source of comfort and inspiration. It motivated me to persevere, and eventually, I developed my own sound. My singing was an outlet for the pain, as well as, my creative energy. I knew early on that music would provide strength and direction.

My hopes are that sharing my talent will inspire others to follow their dreams. Faith in a higher power, love for my music and the drive to endure my life's most difficult moments are what brought me here today. Always follow your heart, and never give up on your dreams. Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Alberto Suarez.
